What is a Debutante Ball?

A Debutante Ball Is...
...a formal coming-of-age event that celebrates young Black women as they transition into adulthood. It honors their achievements, character, and community involvement, while presenting them with elegance, confidence, and pride in their cultural heritage. Often rooted in tradition and mentorship, the ball brings families and communities together to recognize young women’s growth, leadership, and future promise.

Having a debutante ceremony means so much to me as a young Black woman. It’s a way to honor my mother and, most importantly, celebrate my roots.
The Event
Join us for a beautiful evening filled with thoughtful details and unforgettable moments. The night will begin with elegant seating, followed by the Presentation of the Debutante. We will then share a heartfelt mother-daughter dance, continue with the traditional cotillion, enjoy a wonderful dinner together, and conclude the evening with open dancing.
